Sound the Alarm – Escondido

Every day 7 people die in home fires.  Working smoke alarms cut the risk of death from home fires in half.  That’s why we’re rallying volunteers to Sound the Alarm.  On Saturday, July 27th from 8AM-2PM, American Red Cross and Escondido Fire Department will install free smoke alarms and provide wildfire education in Escondido.  No experience necessary.  Free breakfast, lunch, and t-shirt are provided.
Since 2014, we’ve made more than 1 million homes safer and helped save lives like Jack and Shirley’s.

If you’ve never participated before, this event is easy, fun, and a great way to help save lives in our community!  Please wear comfy walking shoes.  We’ll meet at the Mountain Shadows Mobile Home Park Clubhouse at 1750 W. Citracado Parkway in Escondido, CA, 92029.  We hope to see you there!
