Fall Protection – It’s More Than at the Edge
Thom Kramer
We welcome Thom Kramer, P.E., MS, CSP, MBA from Ohio, to our March meeting. Thom is an ASSP Fellow, has been a Safety Professional of the Year, led the Society PDC as Chair, and has been on the ASSP Board of Directors. Thom has received the Charles V. Culbertson Award as well as being named an Edgar Queeny Monsanto Safety Professional of the Year (SPY). We couldn’t get a more qualified speaker to join us!
Thom is the Managing Principal for the engineering firm, LJB, Inc. in Dayton, Ohio. He focuses on Fall Protection amongst other engineering specialties. He is also a member and Chair of several professional committees, including the ANSI Z359 (series) – Fall Protection and Fall Restraint Standards. Like many of the ASSP Professionals, Thom is a published author, having written for PSJ and other publications.
He earned his B.S. and M.S. in Structural Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Thom will be speaking to us about the value and need for fall protection, current standards, critical issues and basic safeguards – Fall Protection – It’s More Than at the Edge. This presentation will have value to all of our members and attendees in both general industries an those in the construction world.
