Sandra Bitowft from Dexcom will review the background on lasers and radiation, laser classifications, bioeffects of lasers, and different safety controls for lasers and radiation.
BIO
Sandra Bitowft is an EHS Specialist at Dexcom in San Diego, a medical device company manufacturing continuous glucose monitors. Sandra has worked at Dexcom for about 2 years and is both the Laser Safety Officer and Radiation Safety Officer for the company.
Sandra has earned a Master’s Degree in Occupational and Environmental Health & Safety from City University of New York, Hunter in New York City.
When not working, Sandra enjoys going to the beach, going to concerts, hiking and exploring new places.
