The American Society of Safety Professionals, founded in 1911, is the world’s oldest and largest professional organization. Its 38,000 members manage, supervise and consult on safety, health and environmental issues in industry, insurance, government and education. The San Diego Chapter is one of the chapters within the ASSP family. Our mission is simple: Protect people, property and the environment.
The San Diego Chapter was established in 1964, and recently celebrated 60 years as a viable chapter, and serves community safety leaders as a resource of safety, health, and environmental information and guidance. Chapter member safety professionals work in diverse industries ranging from non-profit, government, and for-profit companies.
We are here to help San Diego be a safer place work and live.
