SPEAKER: Brad Dodson, Safety Director at FFF Enterprises
INTERESTS TO SHARE: Brad has been able to assist many employees with information on how to stay safe and
healthy in remote environments. He also is noticing that a lot of safety organizations do not focus on these area(s), and has found that there is a gap to be filled.
Some key topics of discussion:
- Health and Fitness-How does it correlate to safety professionals?
- What kind of safety professional are you?
- How can a safety professional influence health and wellness?
- We talk the talk, but do we walk the walk?
- Innovative methods of training, information, and influence-Where do we go from here?
In his daily management of a Safety Program he personally feels like safety goes far beyond just regulatory compliance –with healthy lifestyles and wellness OUTSIDE the work environment being something he’s personally invested in.
He’s always thought this facet of worker safety, health and overall well-being would be something safety professionals could benefit from in terms of knowledge.
He has noticed throughout his career that the the role of a safety professional has been largely focused on compliance, programs, and policies, but feels that a safety professional’s role must be more diverse.
He is excited to be creating new trainings, video series’, and podcasts/informational videos related to safety, health, well-being and more through the use of innovative tools and methods.
Brad has most recently completed a variety of certifications in Fitness and Nutrition and is in currently process of prepping for the BCSP CIT, STS, and ASP certifications.
